Fantastic photo's as usual. Do the locals mind having their picture taken? I guess there is always the exception but they seem pretty unfazed by having a camera around.
    Thanks,

    David,

I was invited in by two men I had previously met in a local bar. There was a lot of interested chatter about my presence in Twi, the local language when I was following them in but, no confrontation. I wouldn't have gone in there without them.

In many other parts of Ghana where they are more used to whites they will often stick out a hand for some 'dash' if there has been a photo taken. Not here though, which was quite refreshing.

    Handy Landy

Ain't seen a Landy done up like this before:

MANTRAC are the CAT maintenance provider to the CAT fleets at Goldfields (where this was taken) and Newmont, where I am working now.

As can be seen, there is a fair weight being carried on the back there. Don't ask me for the details!

Ghana, with its ex-colonial British background has quite a number of Landrovers. The military and the police force use them extensively. Must get some photos.

    Nice photo BBC
Looks like that it is a Gardner Denver unit which can hold about 200kg on the platform and extending horizontal over 5 m
If the company it is not sold (globalization) is an American based but with brands World wide.

Gardner Denver have couple models for utes and they related to the wheel base and also the gross weight of the vehicle.
We used them on the old Ford F250 and 350. I do not know if the Toyota ute in standard form have long enough wheel base.

    Hey BBC
Tojo or Nissan dont have anything that will match the load capacity of the 130
The wheelbase would also help with stability.

Well to be able to fit the truck models (high capacity platform the GVM and weel base it is important
Truck models require a GVM of about 3.5 tons and a wheel base over 3.2 mts.
There are models form this company and others with less payload capacity that can be fitted in 1 ton utes.
