Why should NSW Taxpayers subsidise State Forests just so they can play Lumberjacks.
Since woodchipping started 99% of NSW woodmillers have disappeared, was that caused by NPWS, Regards Frank.

Totally irrelevant. No woodchips have ever been produced from the Pilliga - it has produced sawn timber, sleepers and posts for the last hundred years on a sustainable basis, with small local mills and individual sleeper cutters. The loss this year by State forests will be at least in part because they have lost the income from the Pilliga forests. Most of the Pilliga is forests that have grown up since European settlement, mainly as a result of fire suppression.
