*****s ripping off others on Ebay

UNIDEN UH500SX UHF CB RADIO-XTRA 40 USER PROG CHANNELS - eBay CB Radios, CB Radio, Radio Equipment, Electronics. (end time 26-Jul-09 21:43:00 AEST)

I bought this item last week.
Installed it to find it is faulty.
Rang the seller telling her and copped an earfull of abuse and told me i will get a refund when the item is sent back at my cost and proven to be faulty.

She is a auction hose, how in blazes is she to test an item like a CB radio? yes it lights up, and transmitts, but you cant hear a cracker on any radio receiving the signal.. only white noise.

Man i'm cheezed at ebay and its crap sellers.

Dont use her and if you want her number to ring her and abuse her then do so, its on the advert.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Post a poor Feedback and if no result, contact Ebay. Believe it or not, they take these things very seriously and will de-register sellers if necessary.

Not a great help if this is a one off sale, but Ebay Shops have a lot to lose.

I recently received a Camera powerpack from a Chinese buyer with the right voltage but the wrong plug. I contacted the seller and he said "A new cord is on it's way, do not bother returning the old one".... From the Chinese whom I has so often had doubts about.

The powerpack was a Canon original at 1/3 the price.

11 Negative Feedbacks in the last month alone, most have had no result from seller, I would be taking it to a Uniden repairer and having it fixed, when you consider that most that have returned radios to this woman have heard zip since. The cost of postage both ways and no guarantee that you will ever get your radio back, would suggest it would be wiser to get it repaired yourself, Regards Frank.

It could be lot worse, it is annoying but your worse case scenerio, it's a one off monetary loss.

I heard about a horrific transaction. A mate of mine (real nice and trusting guy) anyway he sold a car, car goes counts cash all parties concerned are apparently happy. Then out of the blue, months later, he started getting speeding fines sent to him. Apparently the purchaser was driving around in the unregoed car that my mate no longer possessed. Huge fines and tolls went straight to my mate.

Now that one sucked. Costing him heaps in court costs and alike just to clear his name, wife is giving him hell over it etc....

Having experienced similar shennanigans on ebay, a suggestion if I may - find a friendly two-way radio place and see if they will have a quick look at it ( No opening case). Then they can tell you whether the mic is broken or what (if any) power it will transmit. Then you can officially put up a complaint on ebay, and force the seller to refund all costs ( I did it, you can too). If you feel that it might take a little bit more to crack the seller, offer the two-way place some money to write a quote and send a copy of that with the radio.
It's worth the effort and the small $ to the local 2-way shop to cough up the dough. Mind you, there are limits - stick to the ebay message centre and dispute resolution centre - no more phone calls.

    You can do it.

Logged it with ebay and logged it with paypal.
Ebay are investigating the fact that they have 50 negs in 6 months...

Cant get it repaired under warrentee as i have no TAX invoice... they wont accept paypal or ebay slips..
Calling Uniden in the morning to see what i can do...

Looks like i'm out of pocket again.....
