I drive a 94 defender & a D3, when driving the defender I wave to all & only defender & series drivers seem to wave back(always), Nobody seems to return a wave in the disco.I think there is some kind of cult thing going on with defenderdrivers

I think the problem is that many newer owners of LR haven't realised there is a family into which they've bought. To them, the Landie is just another car.
Did not go eh, whats that thing down there then big fella!!

To right..... I'm also in charge of buying the matchbox and hotwheels cars around here. Not a job to be taken lightly if the correct toy cars are to be had. Got No2 a new RR sport yesterday.

no one has ever waved to me in my D1,2 or 3 and so I am afraid to wave to others in case I am rebuffed, maybe I should start and see how I go.

Was in outback QLD recently and out there pretty much everyone waves to everyone, the one finger off the wheel variety.

I wave to most in my D1 only average response (NE Vic).
I drive a green and white 404 Kenworth up the Newell hwy
every weekend and wave to most LRs i think i take them by
surprise as i don't get much response, so if your on the newell
and a KW driver waives wave back it'll be me.

    Wave-Rangie Classic Owners

I have stolen this from another thread:

"The wave from fellow classic owners, is just empathy, he is probably having the same problems as you, if not more, especially if it has EAS still fitted".

    Cheers,

I haven`t owned the ute for to long,so getting used to all this waving at each other stuff.Actually got a couple of waves recently, but they did have a bit of a confused look about them.I`m guessing they could n`t make up there minds weather they were waving to a defender ute or a series ute To late once they have waved.Of course I`ve waved back and enjoyed there confused look.Has been a full hand wave a few times now and a couple of polite finger lifts.I personally like to wave back with a full bodied from the shoulder, whole torso rocking wave.Basically the confused look fades to a shocked look .This phenomena of waving is also common with Delica owners as well.Wich I`m a owner of one.
