Thread: AULRO Subscriber Offer - cheap on-road/off-road GPS units

Well, I've just finished tinkering with the 500MHz unit.

The good news is, the same files to modify the slower unit work fine with the faster unit! The only point to remember is the firmware was already updated, so I didn't need to do that.

The lesser news is that the movie player still isn't quite fast enough to play movies properly (at least those that haven't been re-encoded to a smalelr resolution). This means that to play movies on either device, you would need to shrink them down a bit. Once I find the best app and process I'll let you know how to do it.

Hopefully I should get a start tomorrow night on the slower units that I picked up today. Fingers crossed!

No it doesn't.

As far as I'm concerned both units are as good as each other. Comes down to whether you'd rather bluetooth or a bit of extra speed.

I asked the Kelvin bloke on eBay if he could supply the same unit with Bluetooth and he said he could, just that not many people had asked for it.

Ive got my 375 unit and was wondering how to get my tom tom maps to work on it?

By the way - when you turn on these units you get an image of a car that looks like a 90's model Commodore Statesman.

I can change this to something else, but can't think what to change it to. I was thinking maybe the LR logo, or even the AULRO logo (with Incisor's permission). Anyone think of something better?
