Thanks for straightening that out Sam, nothing better then hearing the facts from the source.
Now I have been nice how about a healthy discount on a new winch bar???? ...

Bugger! ...thought you might say that.
Could you answer me one question if you don't mind Sam?
I recently rang one of your shops in Sydney and they told me that they have an instruction from ARB not to sell ARB Bull bars to either D3 or D4 HSE owners as they suppoesedly make to much wind noise when fitted to a HSE.
Why the difference between a SE or S and a HSE?
Is this correct? Seemes a bit strange given how many D3/4 HSE's on here have ARB bars fitted.

Terry

Hi Terry, there hasn't been any official instruction from Head Office re the fitment of bars to HSE Disco 3 and 4 and to our knowledge there hasn't been any feedback re excessive levels of wind noise from customers or stockists.
If anyone has an HSE with our bar fitted, we'd love to hear any feedback that may have re wind noise.
Cheers, Sam.
Well I guess I'll end up finding out sooner than later for myself, just bought a ARB winch bar off ebay last night.

I was wondering if anyone (Sam) from ARB can tell me if the new bull bar is like this one in this photo? I see that there seems to be a new piece to fill the gap between the headlight and bar. Is this a new thing or something that has been modded.

Billy, coming back to your question, coincidentally EDDOMAK posted a link to fitting instructions for the ARB bar here:

It seems that the bar does not have the gap filled. When comparing the photos, you can see that there is a distinct gap all the way around to the wheel arch. The "Nice D4" has the wheel arch flare cut so that it sits neatly on the bar and has some trim to fill in the gap under the head lights - looks much neater.
I guess the only trouble with that is, there is no tolerance for any "bumps".
Cheers,
Sean

Yes I have noticed that. Either this is a show car for Arb or it never goes off road? When you flick through the photos it looks like the filler part is welded on or a part of the bullbar from the factory.
I've seen the instructions as well and noticed the gap and it has been a few discussions as to the fit in regards to gap and what is required when unit is off road and subject to large bumps and corrigations.
My question still stands to Arb or others if there has been new tooling for these bars. I'm definitely going to buy a bar a sometimes as i live in central Qld and there is no shortage of wildlife willing to sacrifice themselves as happened to me two weeks ago in a rental....lol
