    Ben - check out Ram mounts. You can get them to bolt onto seat frame, or with multiple suction caps which attach to windscreen.

    Ram mount. 3 suction cups to beat corrugations. Very solid never falls off holds the iPad rigid and very functional. Also completely removable.

    I have the RAM mount that goes down to the seat bolt. Did a 2 week loop down to Alice and back, lots of dirt tracks, lots of corrugations. The mount was great. I have iPad mini on top.

    I use a clickon mount which has been quite good (does not work with any covers though) all floor mounts I came across do wobble so would not get a floor mount myself

    That looks like not a bad spot, is it movable/flexible so the passenger (boss) can see it too?

    yes you can change angle but it's secured via a little screw
