I have a "dome" in that position. It is the aerial for digital radio. Suspect that yours is a filler cap unless you have digital radio.

How would I know if j have digital radio, I thought all radios were digital ❓ isn't that when they display station and songs ❓ if so I can't say I've noticed.

No, it's the difference between just AM/FM broadcast and DAB broadcasts.
I can't remember the name of the system the sends the radio station name, plus the "now playing" information, but that isn't digital radio.

You'd have something that looks like this on your central display:


But given that you don't have the aerial, as Martin pointed out (the two options there, according to the parts listings, are either the DAB aerial, or a CB aerial, or the blanking plate ), it's unlikely you will. It is an extra cost option.

Hi Babs,
Thats what the dealer told me also so it was put on the side of the steering column. Not ideal but I can see it just and after an initial fiddle adjusting when towing I leave it alone and can feel it working fine. Interesting that DI5CO fitted where i wanted it, I wonder did he do it himself.
Must learn to send pics.

No I didn't fit it myself. That's beyond me lol
I got http://www.drivenae.com.au to do the install who was recommended by my dealer.

For a decent size fuel tank?

My guess is the satellite antenna although my RRV also has TV so perhaps also the TV antenna.

First trip out bush this weekend, took the D4 for a run up to my farm.

Why oh why did I not do this sooner, you definitely get what you pay for and this was the most enjoyable and comfortable trip to the farm I have done to date. except for the ticket from the Dirty Highway Pootrol.

Life has never been easier loading and unloading, frequenting the tailgate copious times for fridge visits. The access mode and now with the even lower setting thanks to the Llams was a breath of fresh air. The vehicle was at the perfect access height, I kept thinking thank God I didn't go the LC200, I would have done a 2" lift on a LC and that would have meant climbing up and in for a coldie.
