D3 and early D4 had a nut,not what we have
I have a wheel nut sitting in the back waiting to get welded on.

Andy I thought they modified a socket to suit the ring/hole. Put a cut in a large socket and slip it over, drill hole through sides of socket and slip a bolt through to lock it on the ring/hole, replacing the hook they gave us.
If you can make sense of what I just wrote, you're doing better than me![]()

That's my one and there are other ways to achieve similar. For example, Andrew is planning to weld a socket on instead of bolting something to the eye. Or even just use a 1" 6-sided socket, which works ok but is a bit loose.
But either way, I think this will mean the interface to that winder-matic gizmo is a problem. It will get too high I suspect. Plus I think it's designed for the older style winder with a nut rather than eye.

Where is everyone fitting the Llams and Tow Pro Elite dial.
I see some have fitted the Tow Pro dial next to the headlight switch, which is where I want mine but DPL is telling me that the newer Discovery doesn't have enough room behind the headlight switch ❓
And wants to put it on the side of the steering column and the Llams on the other side.

I've fitted my Llams switch in the steering column like the other posts. Works well there and once you're used to it, you can use the switch without looking to see what setting you've selected.
