Had a big scare yesterday, went through a brushless auto car wash, purchased the basics $10 wash I wasn't interested in any of their spray on polish crap, just wanted a simple wash as the Discovery wasn't soiled just a bit dusty. Didn't want their blow dry, driving does the same thing.

Went through all good, got to my destination parked it for a few hours and when I got back to get in it looked like the vehicle had been covered in tree sap, completely covered, it was what ever they used in the wash had crystallised.

Long story short went back complained, they put me through again, seemed to reactivate the crystals and came off. Drove straight back home and washed it properly myself before their crap dried and did the same thing again.

Just a heads up for everyone, I thought this being a brushless wash would be the safest option, never would have thought I would have to worry about the products they use in the wash.

    I'd suggest avoiding them...
We had Spot marks appear on panels/plastics from whatever they use.

Took 2 hand washes and a complete polish and detail to restore both the vehicles..

Yep, always go for the hand car wash, although I quite often have to give it a hose down first to get the thick mud off ( underbody, wheel arches, bottoms of doors etc ) . Also I have young kids that spill food every where and bring sand in the back seat - so needs a really good vacuum as well.
They probably cringe every time they seem me heading into their car wash he he he

FYI, a photo prior to fitting Safari. These are the holes needed for the Safari Snorkel.

I am loving this Discovery, just back from the farm and we had plenty of rain up there, I don't drive these tracks in the wet due to the incline and altitude but the Discovery went up without a slip and 42psi in tyres.

    I'm loving its capabilities

I'm loving the flexibility I have with being able to change suspension heights. Awesome
