    End of the month

    We have one of those near home here too
    ,, Leeanne hates red, so it was no go. The one we looked at and test drove had the good leather too.

    Defender = Lots of air,
    Disco = Clean air,,,,

    We carried two empty water bottles with us to put under the wiper blades when recently down in the snow ... Pain in the butt.

    Regarding quite wipers on the D4, that only lasts for a while from new, once you change the blades and the screen gets that really light pitting from stones that you only see when driving into the sun they tend to become noisy.

    Regarding the pollen filter and smells, buy the more expensive carbon version, no more smells.

    Regarding dust, the Disco's filter system is very good, from our experience first with the D3 and then the D4 as the door seals age you are more likely to get dust in around the tail gate than through the filter.

    Regarding the stereo turning itself off after a short period of time or down in volume once the engine is stopped, it does it to protect the battery. Painful but given how much these vehicles rely on battery power some what understandable.

    Why do they have auto recycle air con turn off? These vehicles are so well sealed ventilation wise that if you drove for hours on recycle you run the risk of losing concentration and falling asleep, especially if there is a few of you in the vehicle.

    Regarding blowing the doors off of D3's, try that against a V8 D3 and see what the outcome is ...

    Coming back from farm this afternoon and started smelling smoke in the vehicle, there was a scrub fire outside somewhere, I looked down and realised I didn't have the recirculate on, point is there is definitely smells getting through filter

    Not my D3 you wouldn't. You may use less fuel but you couldn't keep up.

    Do you have a carbon pollen filter fitted?
