Yep, must have been a TD.
If your in Bris do you use MR for servicing? I might but concerned over dealer relations.

I'll give that a try Tombie but it defeats the purpose of cruise

Thanks Graeme, just one thing with what you have said, I don't understand any of it He he he
Sorry but I got a "deer with no eyes" as to what that means

On the instrument cluster screen, select instantaneous fuel consumption by pressing the "i" button on the LH stalk. When going down a hill, does the fuel readout read 0 L/100 km? If yes, then the tall gearing of the 8 speed box is to blame for lack of engine braking.

I service everything on the D3 myself, but I am about to purchase a D4 V8 and was looking into MR, the only problem being that they are in Redcliffe I believe. Might have to take a day off work to get it out there. The D4 will need a service straight away.

I did mention it to Babs after he had a whine about lowering his spare tyre. I don't think he has used the "Jack" yet. A more ridiculous device to raise a 3 tonne vehicle would be very hard to find.

Yeah I'm now aware of this and have been reading the "jack" thread and will be purchasing a hydraulic jack soon as I can make heads and tails of all the dimensions that everyone is throwing around in the "Jack" thread
