Don’t forget either, like phones it becomes an embedded technology... if you’re set up a certain way, why change if the benefit isn’t multitudes of gain/savings.  Some things move very slowly in this game.
Aside from a few LV dual cabs most mine LVs are Prado now.. Something any of the current offering could easily do. (Mine Spec Disco Sport anyone?) but LR won’t sell their product at the price Toyota do.
An example: GXL 200 Land Cruisers at a nearby Gold Mine were $45k to purchase..
			
		 
	 
 The majority of our mine vehicles here are duel cab utes. Mostly hiluxes but any that have been replaced in the last 3-4 years have been rangers. The pit still use landcruiser 70 series and only superintendents and up get prado's. Your right about the vehicle change - our LV workshop is setup for what we have. The main reason we started going rangers here was back when hiluxes where not ANCAP 5 star rated and the rangers where (must have been a good fleet deal thrown in as well to seal the deal?)
