I've always been wary of and have never tried Coopers following a comment of Toombie's some years ago.

Anyone have any idea of the respective tyre noise levels I can expect with either, or have any other comments?
Nothing more than my own personal opinion but...

*OMG.. I would never fit such crap tyres on a D4, I dislike Cooper tyres and the associated noise that comes with them.
*My pick is either Bridgestone 697 or Yokohama GO 15
*I see Bridgestone dont do that tyre size in a 697.
*"my local tyre guy" (Bob Jane Victoria Park) will do the GO15 for $310 and I have trained them well over the years to like Land Rover models almost as much as me

P.S also note, I neither own a D4 and have only EVER purchased 1 set of Cooper tyres

Noticed on my dash that there is a Voltage reading 14.5V (see photo attached) where it normally shows the entertainment system mode (eg Bluetooth, radio, AUX or CD) (which are usually toggled by the "mode" button on the steering wheel). I cleared a couple of error codes and the dash goes back to showing the entertainment system mode no problems.
But when I restart the car on the next trip it resorts back to the Voltage reading each time.
The "mode" button still toggles the entertainment system mode on the entertainment system screen, it just doesn't show up on the dash. Just the Voltage reading.
    Thoughts anyone?
    Thanks

My tuff ants have Cooper's on them. I love the fact that when they wear out I'll never have to listen to them again. I would shop around etc before I ever went that way again. In fact. If I was stranded. I'd wait for new stock to arrive

Tyresales had wrangler duratrac on sale for around 350 a corner for the 19" and the 115Q speed rating F+B.

, that's a good deal these tyres were over 560 each last year.

If I was in the market that's what I would get

I am not affiliated with tyresales in any way.

Better than coopers, I've had the zooms, lasted 65000km, not bad, but went really hard and became dangerous in the wet.

My maxis 980s are at 60% worn, I reckon another 15-20km then time for new offroad boots.

Me second set of rims have pirelli scorpions on them, nearly worn out.

I put Falken Wildpeak on in Geraldton on my way to Perth , was so glad to see the end of the coopers I had on . Only done 6500ks in them but thru wet roads and plenty of dirt tracks and they seemed like a good stable ride in those conditions. Wear is hard to say with such little is but if there is any it’s very very minimal.

I do have 17 Inch Steel rims on the D3 for off-road/long distance so unsure if they are available in the required size for you.
