Thanks. The polished aluminium look made me itch to much. Thinking of painting the side vents and the silver bit of the grill in Matt black also.

My D3 has developed a funny sound at idle, a tickita tictta sort of sound, thoughts after talking to a couple of people is that its likely to be a tensioner pulley.
Took it to my indie LR man yesterday after work and he confirmed its the tensioner on front alternator belt, belt is running off about 5mm.
Waiting to see when he can fit me in. Advice is to try not to drive it however I work 35km from home and need to get to work!
Will see if I can work from home for a couple of days to reduce the risk.
Fingers crossed.
Risk vs Cost of Taxi may need to be considered [emoji41]
hence why I will look to work from home for a few days. I'm at work today so hopefully will get it home ok then park it up till I can get it to the landy man who is only 15 mins away from me.
Can only do what I can do.
New serpentine belt tensioner pulley fitted yesterday. $279 all up.
EGR blanking kit fitted and EGR removal ECU patch flashed. I and the car can breath easier now!

A big improvement in performance after these restrictions are gone from the inlet.
Last Sunday, pulled off all the bash panels, and other panels from underneath, dropped down the spare wheel, and gave the car one huge bath.
There was enough red dirt that came out from all kinds of places, to topsoil the lawn.
It was last done about 5 yrs ago, after some beach work.
Also went over everything to check for hoses, wires chafing, etc.
A good head torch helps with this.
Today started painting everything underneath with Tectyl.
Bloody messy job,but using disposable gloves does help.
Will go over the hard to get to underneath sections with a spray can of the stuff, and down inside the chassis rails, etc.
Painting is the better way, as it goes on nice and thick, and lasts for ages, but there are some areas that can't be reached.
So it will now be ready for a couple of upcoming trips, one to Moreton island, and one to Fraser.[biggrin]
