The opposite. Heat the nut up. It'll expand and be bigger then the stud. Me personally. I only get lucky on someone else's car. I would order the stud and anything required to change it

Had planned to swap the fitted 22” rims with a set of factory 19”s but could not get one of the the wheels off. Used 2 cans of loctite freeze and a hammer with block of wood against the rim for over an hour but no luck.
Have called retreat and fitted the other 3 22” rims back on for the time being.
Any one got any ideas?

SO nuts are all off,one of rims frozen onto hub?
Just to clarify what the issue is?
If this is the issue,i would spray some CRC or inox through wheel on top of where it seats on the hub and leave it sit overnight,see how you go in the morning.Thats what we used to do to a mates BMW,same issue.If that doesn't work,leave for two nights.We used to have to hit the wheels bloody hard to get them off at times.Big hammer and block of wood,as you did.
This weekend's mission.
I was never happy with the look of my pioneer rack. Was the 1400mm version. Looked like I was carrying a table on my roof everywhere.
Seen a LC 200 with the same rack but looked much better. The rails are wider on them. So I shortened my rack to 1170, personally I'm much happier with the look. Others might not be. With the narrower 1236mm rack I would have not worried I think.
The backbone system is much more visible now. Fitted the solar panel after match painting it and fitted an enclosure to the rack that holds the electrics. I'm waiting for my bulkhead DTP connector to turn up. I went with a cast enclosure to help disipate heat and not cook the MPPT controller and circuit breaker.
Not in the photo is the 15amp circuit breaker that'll be fitted when the rest of the parts turn up..
Also fitted is 8 tie down points for my quick shade and max traxs & a pioneer gas bottle holder. That's what we take every time we leave and it leaves us just below the 75kg limit which leaves us insured. I've also left the track available next to the solar panel. I'm gunna make some blocks that bolt into that rack that keep, say a sheet of ply off the solar panel for one off jobs.
Just before fitment. Washed the roof, cleaned with acetone where required. Clay blocked. Polished. Waxed. I don't plan on taking the rack off ever again.

Yep. This is easy...
1) Loosen all wheel nuts off about 2 turns from just touching.
2) Lower vehicle back to ground
3) Start vehicle and drive back and forth a little - slowly - make a small turn or two if necessary until the wheel pops free.
4) Jack it back up and remove as normal.

						SupporterHi Paul, yes got all the nuts off but the rim is seized onto the hub. I have sprayed CRC into all points that meet. Then put a can of freeze into where the rim sits on the hub ring and another around where the rim meets the hub
Just to really rub it in I now have a flat battery. I had the ignition on while the car was in neutral so that I could rotate the front wheel while knocking with the hammer and wood earlier.
