Crossed the Simpson with a D4 owning friend. Storms in the desert was a bit different to last crossing.

Took the D3 and the Haulmark trailer down to Mt Bundy station for a long weekend break , only an hours driver from home so nice and handy.

Was Us ,hundreds of wallabies and a few peacocks , very relaxing.20200809_151651.jpg

I have the resistors (and a spare second set) plus the appropriate switch, but need help with correct size (and wire) connections and a heat sink - or two?

Hoping to do a wee trip north during September.

My replacement Aircon control knobs finally turned up, the total process was about 6 months after i was ripped off by an aussie posing as a legitimate company. Lucky for Pay Pal, got my money back and bought them on Ali Express much cheaper for $45, 2 months shipping time which i thought was fair enough for the $1 they charged me to get them here from China.

They are a good fit, a little tight, i tempted fate and took one off and put a little silicon grease on the inner ring to stop it binding, perfect now. Much cheaper then a new control unit. They are plain plastic without the rubberised coating the originals have but i can live with that.

Hopefully this link works, is the only place i have been able to find them, i was a bit weary using aliexpress as i have never used before, but Cambo mentions it a bit in here with the audio stuff that he does so i give it a go. worked well, postage was slow and doesnt update often, but the new ebay global shipping program is about the same. make sure you select that you want all 3 knobs, i nearly only ordered one.

I guess you didn’t know you could remove the old ones, use goo remover to get rid of the sticky then put them back on? That’s what I did when mine went all tacky.

Yeah to be honest I seen new ones and thought. Mine are worn out il just order some. Like allot of us like to keep on top of the little jobs so it's still a nice car. To be honest I wasn't to worried either I think they have been set at 24 ages.. It's only her that plays with them. That's a great tip that'll save others money
