Should we now call this thread "What happened to Tombie today?"
Seriously mate - hang in there (with your good hand) and get well soon.

Ditto to all the best wishes and speedy recovery Mike, it's truly unbelievable how it can go wrong sometimes and bite back.
All the best.
I missed the original post before it was taken down - I have just been assuming the thread was titled 'What happened to your D(igit)3/D(igit)4 today?
Does anybody else remember Kenny Everett's stick on a head who could not pick his own nose?
[Tombie, best wishes. And don't fret about the trailer plug with resistors - you have other things to focus on.]
That reminds me - somewhere around 15yrs ago when open knives got banned on our site, one bloke in particular bitched like all hell. Complained that we are not kids and we know how to use a Stanley blade etc etc...All this happened on a Friday, then on Monday after the weekend he turns up to work with a bandaged up hand. Conversation was something like this:
Me: what happened to your hand
Him: nothing
me: bull****, you cut yourself with a stanley
him:might have done

All went well. Had the procedure done under local. Now that’s interesting to watch!!
Cut the bone down 5mm, then sliced the skin up and stitched over the end.
All done in under 30min.
Still haven’t had any pain relief. Just going through it. I get to go home tomorrow and back to work Wednesday.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I give this thread 1.5 thumbs up![]()

Keep you off the bike for a day or two, Mike.
Glad it went well.

Bit late to the party but safe recovery Tombie.
Been camping just north of Loxton over the weekend with limited phone service. Plus my iPhone decided that the long weekend while I’m away was a great time to fully restore itself to factory settings. Apparently I’ve been inviting a wind passcode while it was in my pocket. I’ve now turned off the ‘tap to wake’ function to prevent it happening again.
