That’s the bit I’m looking at.

The other piece will be the light bar mounted through the A pillars.

Very much so…. I’m actually thinking of driving it down, disassemble the trim in the car park and then let them do the replacement before I reassemble.

Well like all things, it’s probably intermittent, but today through thrashing, pootling, and all other ways to coax a fault after the filter change, it was a good car. I can’t believe it was the filter so I presume it’ll fault again sometime soon.

    Wouldn't consider a Bosch??
I've had a good run out of them.
Read somewhere they are a 'super' version of an Exide who apparently make most of the batteries these days?

Not at nearly double the price of the other 2, Exide $249 with 42 months warranty, SCGolplus $209 with 36 months warranty.
Neither are AGM but that's not an issue on D3's.

Are you sure its not an issue with a D3? If so why not? Is it the alternator charges with a different regime? I am interested to know.
I know because I put the Exide in my D4 and it was hopeless. Had to keep charging the battery regularly. Then found out my car (D4) needed AGM.
