SubscriberRepco have 6ltr Castrol 5W-30 A5 in stock at six stores within 43Km of me. For a 10ltr bottle the nearest store stock is 21Km away, or a 3-5 day store delivery to my local store. The SCA website shows it as a delivery only option, with a $5 delivery charge, no store stock.

SC are hopeless. If you see a sale, walk into any store which has them on the shelf then ask for a price match. I did that with auto barn when repco had a sale of the A5(but none in stock). SC had none at the time either. I did agree to buy the entire shelf thoughat $38ea.
Is the HPR5 5-40W it’s replacement?

SubscriberIt’s an equivalent oil from Penrite that SC recommend meets all requirements for the engine (particularly the Ford rating) but also is what others have been using for a long time with a preference for it as a better oil.
