Cutting fluid is definitely something I used and not too fast to avoid overheating the tip. I did it with your Bunnings cobolt drill bits, but I did use a few.

1x Milwaukee impact bit and some cutting spray….

Tried cobalt bits and barely marked the surface. After 15 minutes gave up and used the Milwaukee bit and impact driver.

Had the holes finished in 5 min… couldn’t believe it.

Because they are steel bits with brazed carbide tips. An old machinist mate taught me to re-sharpen/shape the tips on cheap masonry bits when carbide is required but a solid carbide drill is too expensive and/or fragile. Cheap, and readily available. I have some cheap e-bay diamond discs for the dremel I use to sharpen / shape carbide.

There is only one of me, I'm not all that wise and I only went bearing two trailer loads of green waste (gifts) to the tip. Actually it was more brown and soggy than green but you get that after 175mm of rain in the last 4 days as a cyclone wanders by.

A Safe & Merry Christmas to all.
    Cheers, Dale

Just a follow up on the wiring to the rear. Rear fuse block and local USB port.

Looks good, wish people wouldn’t use that flat space though!

That’s where the cargo blind goes for storage in 7 seat mode..

That is true Tombie. Forgot that bit but not a real concern for me and intended use.

About to go collect my D4 from Tanunda and bring it home.

Short Rex flight down, 45min lift to Tanunda and a Quick 4hr drive from there.

    Love driving the LRs.
