    2013 Disco 4 / L319 ECU Remapping

    Hi there,
I'm preparing to do a long trip around Australia towing a 2 ton camper trailer (loaded) and am looking at getting the ECU remapped and or upgraded chip put into the Disco to give it a bit more poke and was wondering what the latest advice on this was and who you could recommend in Melbourne to do the work.
    Thanks in advance.

    can reccommend

Not in Melbourne but, an option is to take the ECU out (quite easy) and sent it to Cameron (cambo@oldjaguar.com) he is on the forum, have a look in the vendor section I think.

Rova Range in Bentleigh are highly recommended and use Alientech for tuning.

If it’s a TDV6 3.0 don’t be tempted to go much better than an SDV6 tune- especially if towing.

If it’s an SDV6 I’d strongly advise Cameron as you point of contact - or consider an iDrive module and leave the ecu alone.

I feel the same. I’m happy with the current level of power that my 3.0 TDV6 has. I only want to remap it to turn off the EGR and to remap the accelerator. I find that 100km/h with the 1.8t camper uphill is enough for me.

Would it be worthwhile doing both the Idrive and retuning?

Thanks everyone. Will look into all of the different options recommended over the next couple of days and make a call. Your input is much appreciated.

Go grab an iDrive. Stick that on and give it a go.
If you still want more the remap is still the next step.

You’ll be far less likely to do a manifold or crank on the lower tune levels.
