Now if LRA raffled off a new Defender to AULRO (one only) - how good would that be lads?

My post is my post, i edited it to be respectful to you, why even bring that up unless you want to provoke?
But since you want to bring up something that doesn't exist, yes you do bash newer LR constantly, if you don't balance it out with credit where credit is due it comes across unjustly negative.
If you can't handle seeing fanboy posts then this forum is probably not the place for you as it's full of Land Rover fanboys
I got on this thread because I noticed it was extremely negative to the new defender at the start with no warrant whatsoever.
If you want to talk rubbish about new Land Rovers back it up with fact or others will do it for you.
I give credit where credit is due whether it be an old series 1 a Range Rover classic a Discovery 1, Discovery 4, Discovery 5 or a Range Rover Vogue.
Please explain how dealer servicing is hit and miss as compared to taking it to an indie, in the context we are talking about the free 5 year scheduled servicing being offered by LR at the moment on the D5.
How you can find that at all negative blows my mind?
There is a difference between saying what we think and never say anything positive about Land Rovers on a Land Rover forum.
I personally have no problem with people stating realistic issues with Land Rovers, however sweeping comments like the new discovery has gone soft and anyone that buys one must be from Toorak or Double Bay is just disrespectful to other members and with no facts to back it up is pretty unfair to the brand we all apparently love.
Put it another way if there was someone on a yota forum continually ONLY ever saying how unreliable the new 200 series is and how it has gone soft with it's new rounded shape and is not possibly a real four-wheel drive and not giving credit where credit is due, they would be outed pretty quickly.
So when someone does something like this towards a newer Land Rover if it's not backed up with facts, call it fanboying all you like, but I'm going to stick up for them every day of the week.
The new defender is the same, comments like it's going to be a weaker version of the Discovery 4 and its in no way is going to be utilitarian or rugged are not backed up by facts seen to date imo.
And continually making derogatory comments about someone that stands up for Land Rover on a Land Rover forum is also Land Rover bashing FYI.
I've never had a go at anyone who owns a modern Land Rover - I'd appreciate it if you think I have to point out where I have done this?
I've said I think the current line up all look the same and that I don't like any of them as they stand, beyond that back up your comments with some facts please and stop having a go at people in the same way you say it happens to you.
Pot, kettle, black...

Define exactly what you mean by POS? As on this forum I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to swear, so maybe you mean Perfect, Outstanding and Solid?
What exactly are you referring to and what exactly are the issues?
Saying all the new Land Rovers look the same (which in reality they dont) and have naughty rounded corners is not really fact based response to why they are rubbish iyo.
Judging from what we've seen so far with the new Defender, it seems to be the most rugged and utilitarian Land Rover they have built in recent times so I don't understand what you mean by the direction they are going? It seems if anything they are going a more utilitarian and rugged direction then upmarket and luxury, both with the new Defender and also the same could be said about the discovery 5s. However if you look at the Range Rover Vogue you could say that yes they are going in a upmarket and luxury Direction, however this doesn't make it any less capable, maybe it's just not going to be the first choice for everyone for 4x4 touring however for others it still may be.
Land Rover are not a cheap Chinese brand they are a premium brand and you receive a premium product that is something special. Just like the g wagen professional is a premium product you get what you pay for. It may be out of reach for many people however doesn't mean we have to hate it just because we can't afford it, or a series 1 suits us better.
The new defender will be more within reach then the g wagon professional however from what I have seen it will be the best of the best all things considered, so it's not going to be the cheapest of the cheapest either.
Land Rover also knows it's not going to please everyone and it will take some time to get used to the new shape for some. However they are forward thinking and historically ahead of the 4x4 game.
Mate I challenge you to take one of the fully electric Defenders for a drive when they are released and get back to us with your thoughts compared to your impressive electric series LR.
