Weight and traction are different. A vehicle with four driven wheels should have twice the traction of a 2WD of the same weight. Also, if the trailer has good brakes it can be adjusted to it doesn't push the vehicle when braking.

In the context of potential suspension systems for the new Defender does anyone know what we are looking at here?

You're absolutely right. Nothing's been confirmed, LR have only talked about plans to do multiple variants but there's no proof that there'll anything more than the "90" and "110" wagons that've been seen in camo as a part of the initial launch.

Who knows what will happen after that. They may or, they may not expand the model range. Plans change.
    Cheers,

    Sean

Is it an additional coil, says additional coils in rear for heavy loads?

"Land Rover is bringing back a remastered original. This model throughout the years has been made to off-road, keep drivers connected, and now to help them drive safer. The Defender has up to ten different body styles from soft top to Utility Wagon to Double Cab Pick Up allowing you to ride around Delray Beach in the Defender that’s best for you and your driving needs"
