    So BR
You still betting on LR2020 base being $60k ?

With all the camera poke jiggery and fancy control screens on top of three recovery points!
Considering a base FPace is $60k in Brisbane I’m thinking of upping my base SWB prediction to $80k before you start ticking 2ooo dollar options boxes? MWB will be base price of $90k is my guess?

What blew me away was the price delta from FPace and Epace (base ~$60k) up to the Ipace ($157k) !!!!!!! Pretty unlikely to make that 100k saving in fuel burn - ever!!!

Eight year warranty on the I Pace batteries, which sounds right. Ten year warranties on solar lithium batteries are common.

I've got a spare shovel BR.

I've also got a bit of spare cement.

Do you have your own teaspoon?

Yep and if you drive 450 to 500klm along the highway you are then going to need to cool your heels for 1.5 hours or so to recharge a full charge.

    Cheers

$100,000 on petrol , lets say $2.00 a L , just to make math easy = 50,000L and lets call it 10L/100km , gets you 500,000 km worst case.

its was a Taxi may be break even at end of life .

The true argument for EV is emissions rather than economics, but really you do not have to buy such an expensive car . You could buy a Hyundai rather than a Jag or ModelX and get the payoff within a reasonable time frame .

New Model 3 battery life is 1,000,000 miles , not km .

Hyundai Ioniq is what 180 to 200 klms on the highway with Air Con on?

That's way too low for most people.

    Cheers

NQR. 'Most People' have a daily commute between 18km (city) & 35 km (rural) .

The cheapest EV available has enough range for a weeks worth of driving for the average lemming.

Yep good.point. If used pretty much in and out to town all good. The argument for the Ioniq EV falls away pretty quickly in QLD for highway use.

And what do the other half of the population Of lemmings do?
Those that do hundreds or even thousands of Ks a week?
And drive loaded vehicles, some with trailers, etc?

As I have said,EVs may suit a few,but they are uneconomical for many,if not most people.
