    Since the gearbox was introduced on Rover cars in 1932, and remained in use until the end of Series 2a production with only minor changes, you are an expert on a lot more than Series 1 boxes. For that matter, you would find the Series 3 boxes pretty familiar as well.

    thanks mate yeah i have a s3 gearbox here that we pulled apart because of a broken mainshaft and were thinking how there is buggere all change.we were using a s2/s2A manual for alot of the rebuild

    are you undoing it to look for the elusive broken spring that I have? or the 5/8 shifter missing in the workshop?

    sorry for those photos of the intermediate shaft but it was showing that it was marked so i am replacing it so once i have done that its bolt up time

    Tony,
    everything looks so sparkling clean and shiny, better stay away from those muddy puddles that are notably common about Singleton area. Gearboxes attract mud like bees to honey
