Having a bit of a sticky beak around the Forum, Banjo and I come across this!!
    land rover/valiant hybrid
I remember my father buying a brand new "S-Series" Valiant in 1962 and kept it for nearly twenty years. They are a great motor and various versions were used in small trucks and speed boats!!

Would have been a standard 225 cu. in. motor, mate. The 245 was used in small trucks. I think the slant motor went right through to about 1970 when it was replaced by the Hemi!! The 225 in 1962 gave out 145 hp which was a big deal then, when you consider the Holden's grey motor gave out 75hp and the Falcon gave out 90hp.!!!

Well started ton strip the baulk head today got most of it done just need to get wiper motor & arm out & the old steering box bracket off & then will start to straighten what needs it as its in great condition & onlky needs the drivers side door stop arm replaced .But now i have the nut sert or riv nut what ever you want to call it i'll just weld a plate in then drill it & use that to but the captive nuts in...

Once ive done that i mite get it sand blasted if the budget allows if not i use paint stripper..

There were two sets for sale on eBay when I last looked but they were overseas and wanted a motza for freight. One set was the full width like you have there and the other set was like the ones where you have 2 parts for each side.
