You have more dedication than me mate, when I pulled my old springs out, I pulled them apart, looked a how much work was involved, then threw them in the scrap bin and bought new ones.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    Thanks Gav.
    Probably 20hrs doing the 4 F/R springs.
Better not post pics, of the hrs spent wire brushing bolts, nuts and washers, then etch, before satin black.
I question my own sanity sometimes !!!!
    Welding getting better and easier
Did leave the cover patch, rear side of front cross member. Did think to cut it out and insert weld patch in,
But it was my first chassis repair, so left it, as a reminder.

Only problem with that is you can't get new ones with the same number and thickness of leaves.

    Front springs painted and fitted.
Bolted straight up front and back, so assuming I welded the "new" front end on square.

    Steering Relay Angles

    Hi.
Could someone please confirm the off set of the upper/lower steering relay arms on my 1977 SWB Series 3 Petrol.
The lower measurement is 30mm, 1'' 1/8 approx. Two top rulers to square the top arm to the front cross member.
Which is roughly the same as my 75 S3.
How many splines, from the two at 90 degrees. To achieve the correct off set.
    Many Thanks.

    Edit.......
Just read Two of my three Manuals. one says 90 degrees. The other 81degrees, which I think maybe correct, looking at my other S3.
How many spline rotation fro 90, is 81 degrees.
    Thanks

    Thanks Rod.
    Funny you mention that.
    My 67 2a is set at 90.
    My 75 S3 is set at 81 ???? Not 90
    Love the Learning.
