Yeah, that's all pretty normal, and it's pretty easy to fold a new bit up on that top section - I've just got that section folded up and is waiting at a mates workshop for insertion.

Thanks to phil b, for the advice on checking the rubber brake hoses.
The RH front had collapsed internally.
New set, supplied by debruiser, and all is working good.
Get around to replacing LH side and rear one at the weekend.
Nice hard peddle, brakes working and releasing.
Did replace the LH front wheel cylinder, for a new one.
I managed to drill out the butchered bleed nipple, and had a tap to cut a new thread, BUT the last drill size, was on of my new ones, nice and sharp.
Should of used the depth gauge, as I went 3mm to far into the cylinder with the outside of the bit. Thought of trying to repair it, but for $26 from, roverparts for a new one, why.
    Ordered and arrived next day.
    Thanks Bacicat for the link.
The fuel line pickup pipe has nothing on the end, no filter, just straight pipe. NORMAL, for the SWB ????
Have a new inline fuel filter, and got fuel hose to replace the old bits.
    Thanks

Should have a small tubular gauze screen - the remains of it are probably in the bottom of the tank!

    Hi,
Fitted the front brake hoses, and all fitted well.
Cant say that for the rear, as the end that fits into the Brass ' T ' Is to big.
The thread appears the same, but the diameter is different, and a bit longer.
As per photos, the brass washer sits over the old brake hose, but only sits on the end of the new one.
    Any ideas ????
Do I try and recut the thread to take the new hose ????
    Thanks for the replies.
Did the Brass ' T ' change for different models maybe ????
They were Bearmach parts, BR3603 NRC9458 packaged as a kit of 3 hoses.

Series III brake hoses/pipes did switch to metric so I guess one is UNF and the other metric hence the mis-match.

    Thanks Colin,
Looking on line, they came in two sizes.
3/8 unf or 10mm fine thread unions.
The old pipe measured, across the threads,
9.58mm. 3/8 inch unf, just ran a die up the thread
new one, 9.86mm, so 10mm fine thread.
Any idea when they changed ???? mine is a 77 SWB
Debrusier is looking in his spares pile for me tomorrow for the metric Brass T

Don't know when they changed but if you change the T-connector will you then have to change the tube nuts on the rigid pipes that connect into it ?

You might have a hybrid where parts have been 'adapted'. I had the same recently with a metric brake cylinder where everything else was UNF. I made up a rigid pipe with a metric tube nut one end an a UNF the other end.

Just searched the net and 1980 is approximatly the change to metric https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_par...sub_sec=flexis

Yep, lighting is correct as you have described. Yuo can have 1 reverse light and I don't think anyone is really fussed where it is mounted.

The swtich for the reverse light should be on the gearbox up near the shifter and the switch for the brakes should be on the back of the pedal box assembly on a Series 3.

    Thanks Bacicat,
Found the brake peddle one, doesn't look like the plunger is dropping.
Will have another look for the gearbox reverse switch.
Are these live feed, or are they earth feed switches ????
Saw a heap of wires vanishing into the chassis, below the brake master cylinder.
Do these ( some look green/ black stripped ) go to the back lights, through the chassis ????
