Pulled the 5 way apart.
Nice and clean inside. Switch works.
Just a couple new 'O' rings.

Hi,
Whilst remaking the rear brake lines and the short front ones, discovered that the Brake booster, has a larger thread size on the front brakes.
The booster came from the S3 SWB, Harry was pulling the Firewall from, for me.
I have the booster, complete with peddle and 5 way connector, and warning light switch with wires. 3 of the 5 on the connector also also the larger thread.
Does this mean a larger pipe ????
Do the warning light leads go to a separate Light ????
What is the best route to run the front brake lines, and where to mount the 5 way connector. Anyone made this mod.
Pics would be great.
Thanks.

Ordered 4x 7/16 20, 3/16 tube, Flare tube nuts from Repco. One phone call, and in Wed morning.
Murwillumbah Repco, highly recommended.
Also two comments about the different sizing was, 'so they cant go the wrong way round' Position on the 5 way connector and Booster Master Cylinder must be important ?

My old SH Ryobi bench grinder died.
Well until I brought a new one home. Then the Bastard started back up.. It will now go to work.
SH, one Fergy Tractor, couple of motor bikes and 1 1/2 Landies, so done well, as it has worked hard.
Based on the effort put in, over many years, I have bought its cousin. 4 yr replacement warranty.
Thanks for reading.
Rolling chassis this weekend !!!!! Maybe

I'm envious of your flaring kit.
I have found that tightening & loosening the new flare a couple of times helps it bed down.
Good job.

Hi.
Well Gilbert wheeled, manually, from the shed yesterday. pics to come.
Played around with wheel alignment, when I rolled him back it. to test if I could get the results as per the manual.
Did the LH side first, then the RH side, and took some pics.
String line set up just touching both sides of the rear and front tyres.
Metal rulers set up on both springs 1.94mm from inside of tyre, using drill bit to set distance. (1.2mm to 2.4mm Toe in, per manual )
Adjust wheel, till tyre just touching ruler. Ruler left on LH side to make sure nothing moves.
Will check when everything, engine, gearbox and all panel work in on, as I am sure it will change.
Thanks for looking.

Hi.
Due to the open bearing at the top of the steering, and them seem common to fail, I made up a cover from a firewall gromit.
Fits perfect after some trimming.
