    Thanks.
    Will let you know.
Trying to get my head around, High Range 4x4 by depressing yellow knob ???? that disengages a little round pin.
sure its simple and involves those to springs.

It took me years to get my head around it. The system is designed with the idea that you can immediately select four wheel drive simply by pushing the knob, rather than holding pressure on a lever until the dogs line up to engage front axle drive. Similarly, when disengaging four wheel drive, a spring is compressed, so it will actually disengage as soon as the load on the dog is low enough.

So going into Neutral causes this, or going into Low range 4X4 ?
    Starting to understand, I think

Have to go all the way into low range - remember low range is always four wheel drive, and this moves the middle shaft so the pin controlled by the yellow knob can drop into the hole. With this in place, moving the red lever forward applies pressure to disengage the four wheel drive.

So no, moving to neutral does not disengage it, it is the motion from low to high, after the yellow knob has popped up, that does it.

Thanks John. slowly getting my head around it.
Handy having one in bits and one complete, with the little tin cover off watching the shafts.

Started work on the new gearbox parts.
Got 4' thou on the two gears and 1' thou on the bush, closer to 2' I think, New STD sized thrust washers either end. Interesting that there was a 4'thou difference between the two new snap rings.
Had 7' thou on second gear, but used 250 vet and dry on glass, as per the manual to reduce the clearance.
Watched a rebuild video where the bush was Loctited to the main shaft, instead of just relying on the little steel pin to hold the bush from rotating. What are your thoughts on this. Bit harder to get apart, at a later date, if needed.
A common complaint is the one piece bush breaking in half. what actually causes third gear to lock up on the bush.
If the two Piece is used, what stops the bush rotating on the shaft, as no locating pin is fitted. A worn gear is easier to replace than wear on the shaft.
    Thanks for your comments.

    Blower Motor

Pulled the motor apart, as seized.
    Cleaned everything up, then reassembled.
All works good now. Just need to pull apart again and paint.
Not sure what goes though the hole in the shaft. What looked like a small staple came out.
