Hey Shane, I think I have a new Britpart one you could have, I'll need to double check. it matches the canister you got off me previously.

    Cheers,
    John

    Hi John.
    Thanks for the offer.
Just ordered one when I pulled the old one apart.

    Fuel Tank

    Bit more progress.
    Fuel tank repaired, and painted.
Decided to experiment with a air gap.
    2 1/4 disks cut fron a 10mm chopping board.
All seems to bolt up ok, Little tight against seat box, but can overcome that.
Now dirt can be washed out..

    Hi.
    A quick question.
Is the single Fuel sender wire, powered or resistance to Earth.
    Thanks for the replies.

    Thanks Rod.
    Fuel tank fitted.
It would take a better man than me to fit an Aftermarket Fuel filler hose to a SWB.
Looking at my Military, no problems. Easy.
So I cleaned up the old one and fitted. Easy.
Trying to match old shape, just seem to kink the aftermarket one.
Filling up with a bit of water, discovered leak from original water pump.
Have a new spare to fit, but see what happens when I crank it up, Next weekend maybe.
    Thanks.

The left tank filler hose needs to be turned at one end which is achieved by cutting the hose in the middle and fitting a piece of exhaust pipe and 2 clamps. Im not sure on SWB but thats how u do it on LWB.

At Marshell's garage yesterday, just checking for much needed little bits for Gilbert.
Up Pulled a Game, 1977 and I met Ralph.
He, his wife and the Game was At Cooma this year.
He has the Bits I need, hopefully, so off for a 20 minute drive, tomorrow afternoon.
Re arranged fuel lines, before fuel pump, for easy replacement of AM inline fuel filter. One before pump, one before carby.
Fuel tank weaped slightly, so drain plug out, including 20lts of fuel i had added, caught in clean container, and copper washer replaced. Fuel back in. Looking OK.
Fuel pump not pumping. New kit including Valves. Might just be stuck, can suck fuel through from tank.
One suck to many, filled filter quick, plus my mouth. Few Old's to rid the Taste.
See what happens sitting in fuel over night
Battery leads connected to solenoid and starter motor. Plugs out, oil in Cylinders and I turned the motor over. Shorts starter runs.
High/low Neutral and in 4th to spread oil around the gearbox and Transfer.
Multi meter on oil pressure switch and all working after a couple of turns of the motor.
Will pull rocker cover and check oil to the top end.
Electronic Dissy, coil and leads fitted. No spark.
Looks like I need a good Earth on the coil Bracket, Simon BBC FAQ's.
Need to put in new water pump.
Can I rebuild the old one ???? Keep as spare, or scrap ????
    Days go to quick.
    Thanks.
