    Finally bit the bullet, and fitted the Mantec snorkel I bought from the UK, turned out to be easy. The biggest worry was if I had interpreted the template for the cut in the side panel correctly. Lucky I have a history of an apprenticeship in boilermaking, and technical drawing. Absolutely looks the goods, made for the vehicle,a D2, the only Aussie. mod. I'm going to make is to have a section made for the top to bring it to 90 Degrees, and add a donaldson pre-filter to the top. One day. Bob.

    interesting. i would have thought the front gets harder worked than the rear. the front is afterall the most likely to lift off the ground and get loadup and unload when turning the wheels with locker engaged ?

    most standard vehicles i have seen diffs blow out it has been the rear go first. climbing a hill under power.

    i have been running the ARB in the rear and the front standard for 5 or so years now. if the front were getting more load it would have snapped long ago.

    blow, them's are breaks

    What blows front diffs, is pulling a heavy load while going in reverse.

    200 series can blow their diffs just reversing up a bank, ( they may blow in a toyo, but they never break mate ??? ).
