    What did you do on your Landy today?

    Hi All,

    Just finished tonight, fitting new bottom hinges on my 2 Door RRC.
    Nothing like the sweet sound of the doors lock actually hitting the striker plate in the middle and closing properly

    No more sag, and gap at the top (where the door normally sags down) has disappeared and the dreadful clunk when closing doors has also gone - Yippee

    Baggy

    Replaced the serpentine belt on the Disco II - just in time.

    Also built a plywood box for the RHS rear of the Defender to replace the two milk crates I've been using - a job that has been on the 'to do list' for about 15 years. ...................... mustn't rush these things.
    What got me motivated was the upcoming VicHigh recce trip and the need to accommodate the new camp stretchers. Anyway, all done and now have much better storage for the camp ovens, tarps, pegs & ropes etc and a forth level of shelving for the stretchers. I don't like having gear packed on top of other gear and I like to access whatever is needed without the need to unload a heap of othe gear first.

    Better go and service the Deefender now ready for the trip.
    Roger

    Work = Disco money

    Having finally become a perm ft employee again I have had the $ over the past few weeks to flush and renew the coolant , new oil and all filters and a set of tires.Next on the to do is the drive line oils and one day the headliner. It is becoming more of a joy to operate again !
