i) Cleaned an old MAF (hoping it will resurrect it).
ii) Put a battery on to charge (hoping to resurrect it).
iii) Waggled the drivers side mirror (hoping that would fix it).
i) and ii) may work, iii) didn't.
Next weekend....
Buy a new MAF, Buy a new battery and fix the mirror.

Decided to clean up & repaint the air filter oil bowl after a yarn with Ezyrama yesterday. I'm glad I did as I found out why there was no oil in it - the base was perforated. A bit of dodgy brazing later, & it should be ok.
Also started degreasing the engine bay.

Taped up the roof glass panel I'd shattered the day before. And degreased the engine for a road worthy tomorrow. First ever road worthy in a different state I'm a little nervous, I'm missing a park light lense.

Washed all the oil\grease of the defender wings after we replaced the clutch.
Cleaned the shed floor of all the grease and dirt.
101 is back in there now for it's next treatment, the steering box needs a rebuild, and a few other seals and bits
never ending job around here I can tell you
Loving it as always..and on my birthday we will be working on my trucks as well.

For the D2.
Fixed squeaky blower fan, replaced low tone horn, fixed (I think) fuel tank leak, put a protective sleeve over fuel lines where they run between the tank and body after reading a few horror stories about it, repositioned the head unit for the UHF.
For the Rangie, finished putting a freshly rebuilt EAS unit in only to find it still has the same problem only inflating one side
Looks like I'll have to remove ALL the o rings and the pump and slot it into one of another two untested EAS units I have...

can double as a seat
Pulled the new gadget out of its postbag today, a nice shiny new orange tough plastic thingy.
What is it? you say.
Well it's a larger area base for the Hi Lift Jack, that I carry in the Defender.
Maybe it could also double as a seat with a pedestal made to suit.
Cheers Arthur
