I hope they last. The Armstrong shocks I just replaced only lasted just over 30,000km.

They were a waste of money!

It would have been cheaper to fit even locally sourced Bilsteins rather than fit the Armstrongs and now the US-sourced Bilsteins.

New bushes on the 92 classic.
When I moved house I threw away all my scrap steel, I needed it today for pressing in and out. Although some heat some freezing and a bit of force and the jobs done.
The car still has a few issues but it drives so well, I'm a bit reluctant to mod it too much.

Fitted a new radio today - so I am no longer limited to 6 CDs in the stacker but by the iPod fitted inside the radio.

I hate Sydney radio - I can't stand the talk, especially when there is more than one person in the studio. (And this from someone who used to be a part-time radio announcer/DJ).

Drove into town today. Used the 110 to pick up and deliver a new bookcase for my sister. Hit a roo on the way home, busted a driving light. (busted the roo as well, I think).

    Oil cooler line

    P38, Oil cooler hose.
Tip, spray them with WD40 a few days prior to thinking you need to take the old one off.
Be careful the fitting is alloy.

You were lucky to get them off without stripping the threads on the cooler. They gall quite badly.

Robbing Peter axles to pay Paul

    Hi All

Today I paid fleebay for a pair of front axles shafts, for the forever growing 2A collection.

Rang the chap about the freight cost, as they are heavy and they need to travel across half the Eastern Seaboard! Thats all sorted now and I chucked a little in for his petrol as well.

Pulled the old front end out of Peter the 6 cylinder, that is going into Paul the flat tray diesel, still have to refit Paul's brakes, as they are the narrow 11" shoes.

    Cheers Arthur
