Inspected the damage from a bolt leaving the brake caliper, replaced a cracked steel brake tube.
The big job was putting a new thread (1/2"unf) in each of the stripped bolt holes in the hub assembly, enlarged the holes in the caliper to suit, cut two new bolts to length, reassembled the hub, did all necessary.
The main job, took over an hour, bleed the brakes. Could I get it right? Well, third time's a charm lol.
Yesterday actually....

It's all back in the cubby now Chops, that's my "working on it" dash :lol2:
Although I kept having to retrieve the E-tag last time I went for a drive :D
It's okay. Could have been done a lot better, but it will keep me amused for a little while before I do something silly like this....

I'm just twiddling my thumbs, waiting for some stuff to come in from Paddocks in the UK.
Waiting sucks.
Changed the oils and filters in the Disco.
.....and went for a test drive in a new Defender!
Hmmm. Want. Need. Must have!
Was annoyed by the harsh ride driving from Brisvegas down to Brunswick Heads on Thursday evening, so checked and noticed the tyre dealer had pumped the Goodyear MTRs up to 40 psi when balancing the front wheels, so dropped them back to 32, which made the ride much smoother on the way home today. Might still get the rears balanced though, since there's still a bit of vibration at 100kmh.
