    Went to a wrecking yard to find a fan shroud that might fit. No luck there. Went out to start the s3...no go. It seems the battery isolator switch decided to stop working. It was only 12 months old. So i jumped the earth from the battery to the body and off i went to repco and bought another switch. I fitted it and all was good. Maybe the s3 doesn't want to go to all British day on Sunday....hmmm.

    It's nice when you discover that your problem only requires a quick, easy, inexpensive fix. They're the type of problems I don't mind so much.

    Problem is you usually only find them after you've replaced a couple of expensive bits

    You wont believe it but the battery in my s3 just died. Well almost. I really think this landy doesnt want to go to the all British day on Sunday. Cant afford another battery just yet. Ill take my jump start pack just in case. Gee you'd think you would get more than 7 yrs out of a battery...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

    I bought it in Feb 2009. Best run i ever had out of a battery...code on top is A9.
    A= January
    9= 2009.
    Real good for a supercharge branded battery, N70ZZ, actually made here in SA.

    Cheers Rod

    Wonder if i can get warranty on it 😂😂

    Replaced the viscous fan bearing on the TD5.
    The old one was noisy. After removing it I found one seal had come adrift and let the grease out. The cage had collapsed and one ball was free to float where it wanted. Glad I found it and replaced it now and not having to do it on the road.
    All good now and the motor is quiet again. (Well as quiet as a TD5 gets anyway)🤗

    Just make sure you have your crankhandle - Series Landrovers are easy to handstart unless you have a V8 or diesel. (Can't remember which you have)

    Thanks for the tip Gesthog. I went for the 130 front springs which turn out to be the same part number as the heavy duty 110 front springs. It's now sitting perfectly.

    Agreed - I've used the std 130 springs in the front of my last three 110's and have always been satisfied with all round performance.
