only problem, where we are staying at Wentworth NSW they only have river water from the Darling, so its not much cleaner than when it started

Got my new nanocom in the post the other day and have spent the last 3 nights and about 8 hours trying to level the sls system. Raised the back 17 times in all and everytime it would revert to sitting on the bump stops in travel mode.

Spent 3 hours searching the internet and found a post on an english site that said there is a bug with the nanocom evo and sls and that when you save the setting with the travel mode, you are actually in the reverse. So simple yet soooo stupid. Why oh why couldnt they fix it?? Any way all good now. Sitting nice and level rather than too high at the back.

Sent two emails off to colin at bbs but they are 'moving' for two weeks. As the disco is our only car its been in the shed all week and getting no kms under the wheels. Any way - its a good heads up for you other d2 owners with sls - remember to save it with travel mode enabled and it wont be and will stay where you put it!

I actually did some more on the 90 over a couple of evenings this week:

Firstly grabbed some stuff from the laser cutters:

Test fit of components for front bumper / chassis mounting for front of wing:

Bulkhead outrigger front cage hoop mount - and plate that is tapped M10 and slides into slider to tie all together:

Fitting rivnuts in firewall panel to mount wing skins too:

    Done:

Next the heater blower gets in the way of where the top tube will run. To save remvoing the entire heater, I chisseled off the rivets holding the motor/blower assembly on and removed that

You can now see how the top of the firewall / wing skin bracket fits:

Removing a section of the heater - cant imagine I will notice much of a difference in terms of output living in Qld!:

More to come over the weekend hopefully... Will be another delay though while I wait for the 24m of cage tube I have on order as its on back order.

    Grilled Grahams Grover

    Hi All

A sorry day for Graham's Discovery, his pet Grover was grilled today.
I was up to my elbows in Fergy TEA20 oil, when I received a phone call.
Can you give me a tow home please? was the anguished plea.
'My Grover has gone up in smoke', Graham reported to all folk.

Damage has been restricted to the engine bay, thanks to some smart play.
The following motorist, put out the flames with a extingisher in his fist.

There's more to this tale, my Defender pulled the Grover home ,complete with a trailer on its tail.

    Cheers Arthur

'06 defender. Oil change and both filters, fuel filter, air filter, Drain coolant (bottom hose is a bastard of a thing to get off), New top hose, fit sandwich adapter for mad man coolant temp sender, remove expansion tank - drill and tap two screws for coolant level sensor, refit bottom hose, replace new coolant and bleed, wire up sensors to mad man unit. Replace rear brake pads.

Purge and test drive - all good!

Check for engine and ABS fault with Nanocom - none

Jobs a good 'un. Relax and beer.
