    'Fred' is radiant

Fitted the new radiator into 'Fred' along with some nice new blue silicon hoses for the intercooler.

    'Fred' is cool

Took 'Fred' and the car trailer to Grove again today, to pick up the assorted bits that once was a 1953 80" Land Rover.

The overheating issues of 'Fred' have now been resolved !!!! The new radiator works a treat and the head gasket isn't a problem, as no coolant was forced out during a deliberate hard drive down the Southern Outlet through the steep hilly countryside on the way to Grove.

Fitted the air bags to the rear springs, then got rid of a heap more dust/sand that was jamming things up.

Currently it's 'shockless' for a few days.

Today I bought myself an ex-army trailer. its a bit hard to identify, I know its not a no.5 ...I think it might be a variant of the "Cooks" trailer (source:- Australian Military Trailers -REMLR )

its a bit of a fix'er'uppa ...which is just the way I like it

anyway, here is a pic --

Spent a few hours blowing three fuses while trying to get the spotlights wired up on my D90 Puma. Still not going - I've had to give up. Never had to give up on an electrical issue before but this thing has me beat. I'll do some research and try again another day.

did you try running each one of the spotties to the battery direct (just tap the lead to the terminal and see if they flash on)

my guess would be - earth/positive around the wrong way, a short, or the switch or relay wired incorrectly.

at the very least tapping the wires directly to the battery will help isolate the problem.

    Removed factory flares.

Fitted new Flat Dog Flexi Flares +50 mm to the SVX.

Now the 285's are all under the guards 😄

Make yourself a head light bulb with two clip leads attached and clip that across the blown fuse, if there is a short that blub lights up and protects your wiring loom.
