Supplied by my friendly independent Land Rover mechanic, Steve at Lifestyle 4x4 in Perth. Apparently a common problem as they age... I suspect that you will need to go to a place that overhauls master cylinders as I don't think they are a stock replacement item. Somebody else may have a better idea.

I was actually trouble shooting a no start problem when I found him. Turned out to be a no spark issue & eventually traced to the ignition coil, so on with a new one & all is OK.
Small world. This guy was on my dashboard ( actually a few dashboards) but I sent him off to retirement when the bumps made him lose his esky, then beer. What sort of Bogan lets a few bumps make him drop his stubbie?? He has since resided in my workshop as a reminder of his better days.

Yesterday I pulled both batteries out to clean off the corrosion.
Also pulled the ECU to check for oil in the loom, none thankfully.
Now I just need a torx socket to get the seat out and re-locate the auto ECU.

Yesterday cut and brought back to the house about a tonne of firewood in the 2a. Also, on Tuesday, took it into town to pick up a new refrigerator.

Modified the injector resistor pack with a heatsync and moved it away from the exhaust manifold to try and keep it cool in an attempt to diagnose the current streak of breakdowns I've been having. So far so good, been idling for about 30 mins, getting good and warm, no signs of a stall yet :-)
