Got the rear passenger blinker fixed - turned out to be a short in the wiring - in preparation for a trip to Sydney. Also threw the dirty seat covers in the wash, whipped out the beeswax and waxed the leather seats, so they'd be nice for The Navigator to sit on.
Then we decided to leave George at home and drive the Yaris instead. Oh well, it needed doing anyway.
4 new struts on my FL2. recommendation for anyone else, Pay some one to do it. I hope I never have to do again. What aof a job.
Mounted a solar panel to the r/h rear window to one keep some sun out and two put some charge back in the second batt while parked
100K up and just out of warranty so I decided to do an oil change underneath excepting the engine which I did just a few kay ago.
Used the oils recommended by LR/Ford/Castrol and the thing is running as smooth as now.
Better gear changes and less noise noticeable even by the Cook, so I'm happy with that.
Only problem is I'll be able to hear her mumbling now.......
Then reading on aulro.com about the problems with the central locking giving up on the o/s rear passenger door on 110s and thought I'd check that out.
Bingo! Exactly as they said, the pink wire inside the rubber protector between the B pillar and door had broken.
Out came the gas soldering iron, flux, solder and a short length of wire and to work. Small slit in the rubber tube to get the wire back in after the repair, heat shrink on and it's working.
I felt I'd deserved all the beer I drank afterwards.
AlanH.

Washed it. Doesn't look right anymore, so had better take it offroad again.
Over the course of the last 5 hours, I've removed, disassembled, sound deadened, rust proofed, sanded, primed and resprayed the rear drivers side panels on Jeremey, going Gunmetal Grey, gonna look fantastic when it's all one colour.![]()
