I'd have to find the Defence member that drove the 110 the engine came out to confirm that....but I'm guessing it was deep and coastal. The engines a recent acquisition to replace the Td5.
I had a few goes at trying to turn a 110 into a boat myself many years ago when I was in uniform but I never suceeded in sucking in a gutfull of water and hydraulicing it.
Today I gave my rebuilt TDI 300 its first oil change as its now done 1248 Ks since going back on the road with totally rebuilt motor Changed the fuel filter checked all nuts and bolts to ensure they were tight still and hopefully stopped an oil leak then went for a drive.

Just a bit of 'character building'
Better that it hit the Defender than coming my way I guess!

Completed 620,000km service on the County. Took about a day and a half doing things carefully, as it is due for a pink slip. Only significant issue was I had to replace the nyloc nuts on the top of the rear shockers, as they had come loose. Going to need two new tyres soon, and the boots on the TREs at both ends of the track rod are cracked - I'd better order some new ones!

Just changed the oil and filter on my s3 186. Noticed rear diff pinion seal leaking a lot. Another job for another day. Ordered parts from Pete at PCB Land Rovers. Will be delivered tonight at LRRSA club meeting. Free sausage sizzle tonight...yummy. Also getting timing chain tensioner for Betsy's diesel motor rebuild. Got all the parts i need now. Unfortunatly i cant seem to buy any motivation😢
Cheers Rod
Downgraded the 95 110 and fitted a puma drivers side bare door .The original guts fit with some extra bottom brackets and some trimming of the card
