Hey Mike,
Its a shame im not on the mainland as Im currently in tassie as I would have driven up to give you a hand. Id pull the head as the worse case situation is that you have to put it back together with the old gaskets.

Have you a time restriction as to when you have to be mobile?

Still trying to figure out the easiest course of action, we're in a bit of a pinch here at the moment regarding Erika getting home for funeral, our visas running out in eight days or so, and what to do with the Defender.

That'd be quite the drive Pulling the head is exactly what we're in the process of doing right now.

Need to be out of the country before the end of the month!! Plan was to get to Darwin and fly to Bali for two weeks, so we could return to AU for another three months, fix the Defender, and continue the trip. Even getting to Darwin isn't proving to be easy.

What's the verdict after disassembly? I don't have your number as it came up as "blocked " when you called.

You can leave it with me for as long as you need in the interim, till sorted.
