Diesel tuners throughout europe on every other EDC17 vehicle have been shutting down EGR and DPF's for about 4 years now. It is a perfectly reasonable question to ask if any of those tuners successful on other vehicles have tried the EDC17 landrovers.
You seem to have issue with this extremely valid question. Try finding the answer instead of attacking the person asking it.

You made the statement, in effect that any competent tuner can do this process - you did not ask the question. I asked the question that if that was the case why haven't these competent tuners been able to do this with the 3.0TDV6 Diesels (and indeed the later 2.7s).
See this is typical - you make statements and claims that many on here question but you do not seem to be able to back them up when asked.

Here's a link to a company that provide a DPF removal update to the 3.0 used in Jags so I would expect they could just as easily provide EGR removal as indicated in the first link:

I'm convinced that EGR can be disabled on the 3.0 and its just a matter of seeing if someone in Oz has the software and equipment to do it. My previously-mentioned son is now investigating.

It is a good question then why Pete Bell has not been able to do it.
It would appear that VC power says it can be done just with software but Avon tuning it appears that they remove the core of the EGR valves first before altering the software, which would explain the solution some came up with for >MY07 D3s by removing the EGRS but leaving them in the engine bay. It would seem to be that they have been able to remove the software bit and were still left with fault codes as the ECU would still sense the EGR motors not working?
So in a nutshell.
You have no idea what your favourite tuners may or may not have tried or even if they know about these switches. But now it's all my fault.

I just sent AVON a message regarding the 2.7l 2011MY, the other 2 only do the 3.0l and I think I have emailed them before about this, I missed AVON on my previous searches and they are a UK based company, dunno how I missed them.
Can your son inquire about the 2.7l also Graeme, please.

VCPowerTeam list LandRover EGR disablement for Siemens SID20X ecus and further down lists EGR disablement for Peugeot's 2.7 using Siemens SID201. I don't know what ecu the D3 2.7 uses nor what ecu the D4 2.7 uses but if its one of the Siemens 20X series it would mean EGR can be disabled on any D3/4 2.7.
The gutting of the component innards for the Jag is that of the DPF (not the EGR valves) so that it can't blocked by particulates after DPF monitoring and cleaning disablement.
I'd like to find more about the necessity of probing an ecu pin on one or more versions of the locked EDC17 ecus, specifically if its required for my 3.0 and therefore what ecu pin and what voltage, eg 3V, 5V, ground etc.
