    Maybe even better ?

It would make a bullet proof front end using Sals tubes.
    Pics?

IIRC it used a Toyota gear set.

It may well be the design he sold to TJM

Based on hilux ring gear, stronger than rover, not anywhere near as strong as sals

Over a year and a half ago, RuffStuff were in the process of building a fabricated housing for Rover fronts for , I think, Israeli Military. I asked a few times but never got final info.

Sounds like you need to pick either a product or a budget, because without his info, its hard to recommend anything

If you are worried about the clearance of a shaved sals over a rover centre, I am not sure that you need 500hp to play in the bush

Good to know, any ideas if it was based on the 9 or the D60?

As previosly stated I have picked the LRA 9" for the rear currently being built (they will are using Currie high pinion 9") with rover tubes and 31spline to 24spline Hi Tough Axles. I have also previosly stated my build intentions.

However this tread was started to find out if there is anything better than the Force 9 (now discontinued). Ashcroft Force 9 was a bolt up bulletproof high clearance disk to disk replacement for rovers.

Excellent info so far in this thread!

Having 500hp+ is never about need and yes I am worried about the clearance of a shaved sals compared to the standard excellent clearance under the rover pumpkin for the reasons previously stated.

This actually looks like a really good upgrade option for guys running or wanting to runs the Sals, High Pinion, good clearance and good design for sliding over objects1394792530381.jpg Nice Find!

    What about front?

I just don't like one off builds, they are a pain in the behind generally, but each to their own, I have had 9" rear before many moons ago and plenty of one off builds

Either way, hope its not a pretty toy, applying 500HP in the bush is not about keeping a vehicle pretty
