Quick update, all the usual suspects, Donaldson, Mann, Cummins air filter housing were too large for the space with the required air flow.
A filter engineer was consulted and despite the figures suggesting need for +585CFM flow it would be safe to use a filter with 360CFM flow.
We've gone with a flat panel filter from an 7.3L F350 TDV8 and custom box to suit the space.
Should be a better solution than massaging an air box from a different manufacturer into the space with all the compromises that come with that.
That problem solved, move onto the next in line.
