All those bits and pieces well be handy, hang one to them, My hub seals were shot today. Always handy to keep several seals and several bit when you own a Landy. They are a changeling vehicle to keep maintenance up to, but they are one hell of a vehicle to drive, the smile your face out way all the maintenance. Love my series

Now i need to work out why i have all these spares!

were they purchased to fix things up, or the old components from already fixed issues!!

does anyone know where i can get replacement leather tabs for my seats? most of mine are cracked, broken or frail!

    thanks again,
    Tim
Don't ask why, just put them in the shed. They will come in handy one day.

is there a standard set of recommend spares to have onboard?

It depends on how far afield you are travelling. For local travel I carry no spares except the spare wheel and fan belt. Further afield, a few items such as amalgamating tape, silicone gasket maker, electrical wire, spare engine oil, spare bulbs, brake fluid, points, coil, capacitor.

For a major trip, especially to remote areas, I might add a selection of bolts and nuts, pair of rear half axles, a spare universal, an extra spare wheel, EP90, clutch and brake hydraulic overhaul kits, hub seal, bars leaks.

But mainly do not leave home with dubious parts - if any doubt about , for example, radiator hoses, replace them. The system does not stress them that much, they won't fail unless in really bad shape. Basically, "know your vehicle".

I suspect the easiest solution will be to take a sample to a saddler.
