The only advantage of the powercore (and M+H equivalent) is the compact size. They have a significantly higher DeltaP than conventional filters. So you will get marginally better performance using your conventional filters, and even a sligtly undersized barrel-type filter will have lower pressure drop than a correctly-sized powercore.

From an International V6 diesel which was sold in the US. I have seen a couple of sets come and go. The set John has was offered to me, but space-wise they wouldn't work for me. So I passed the deal on.

If you don't mind me asking what's the average cost for the setup?

The International V6 has had a name change to NaviStar. This engine is 3/4 of the 6.? liter V8 in Fords F trucks that replaced the 7.3 litre powerstroke. The V8 version also has a B.W. compound set, the high pressure turbo being VNT.

The 16/27.2 R2S I bought was brand new, never used and from memory cost $750 (or was it $650 ?).

Yeah I've done searches on the navistar , international etc etc but there is virtually no info on these and cannot even find any pictures or distributors of the compound it's weird.. Either way that's a very good price...

Yes, I was using those Ryco filters. Now using Sakura I think, cross referenced from those same numbers.

Sakura are good Japanese filters. Have used them for years in the RRC and tractor.
