They are switchable between ℃ and℉ using the little button on the front, which is also used to display peak egt and boost, reset peak , and display volts.

Dropped the car at fred smith on the 8/10/14 to have clutch replaced and a few other jobs...still haven't got it back, every time we talk he gives me stories and tells me he's nearly done and to give him a couple more days.

More than three months has passed....

Quite fed up at this stage!

    Want/need my bloody car back!

Hi guys. Bit of an update after 7 months no issues... (except a leaking heater core)....using the perentie as a daily. Was driving along the turbo started howling and metallic scraping noise. The scraping stopped but howling continued. Took of the intake side and I tried spinning the turbine. Found it wasnt smooth stopping and stiffening up whilest turning.

Weekend came so i pulled it out... On closer inspection the intake side of the turbo the outer fins of the turbine blades looked worn and came in contact with the housing. Have sent it back for a rebuild.

Update when i get some new back..

Received an email back today from Kinugawa regarding my Kinugawa TD04HL-19:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Hi

    Sorry to interrupt.
    We received the return turbo.
Our engineers check the status of turbo, the possible cause reason is air leak in intake side.
I think you also need to check if any damage or scratch on the intake side.
The whole chra with too serious damaged to rebuild it, you need a new one chra.
We sell the chra on ebay is AUD 499(free shipping)
We can offer 12% off if paypal directly, AUD 499 X 0.88=439.12(free shipping)

If you accept the quote, could you please give us a reply?
I will send the invoice to you, and turbo will be send back in next day when we received your payment.

    Thank you and Best Wishes
    Miho

Not sure what to make of what hes written, it already cost $120 to fedex the turbo to him. I had purchased it about 14 months ago but only had it on the road for 7 months. He assured me i would be looked after.

If I do replace the half the turbo, whats to say its going to last any long next time?

Any one else had issues with the same turbo?

Ive been running intercooled setup @ 21psi, admittedly i do have a heavy foot, but it didnt last 10,000 km.

    Penny for your thoughts guys?

Couldn't feel any. But the outside of the turbo fins were worn so its definately come in contact with the housing. My thoughts are bearing failure...

Should i bite the bullet and pay for the new parts? Or look for a different (brand name) turbo?

Is there anything that will fit in its place cbf with huge mods again!
